Description

Oak Cottage is a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century, constructed from coursed ironstone rubble with a thatched roof and brick stacks at the ends and ridge. The cottages are two stories high and feature a five-window range. No. 20 has a two-unit plan with a 20th-century door on the right and a 20th-century window on the left, both having timber lintels, along with two-light casement windows in eyebrow dormers on the first floor. Oak Cottage has a 20th-century plank door and 20th-century leaded windows, with one window on the first floor right located in an eyebrow dormer. Inside, both cottages have chamfered spine beams, and Oak Cottage includes an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer. The cottages are included for their group value.
