Description
College Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse located in Barford St. John and St. Michael. It features a façade of ashlar ironstone with regular coursed ironstone rubble and has a Welsh slate roof. The building has brick stacks at both ends and along the ridge. It is designed with a three-unit plan and consists of two storeys plus an attic, with a three-window range.
The off-centre doorway on the left has panelled sides, a panelled door with an overlight, and a porch supported by engaged columns under a plain hood. To the left of the doorway, there is a three-light metal casement window with a keystoned stone surround and stone sills. Two similar windows are located to the right of the doorway. The first floor and attic also feature three similar windows. The building has flat bands at the first floor and attic levels, a moulded stone cornice, and stone copings. At the rear, there is a two-storey range. The interior has not been inspected.
