Description
Village Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse located on the east side of High Street in Preston Capes. The building is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble and features a slate roof with brick ridge and end stacks. It has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range. To the right of the center, there is a four-panel door with panelled reveals in a moulded wood frame and a straight hood above. To the left of the door, there are two three-light casement windows. On the first floor, there are two-light casements on either side of a blocked central window. To the right, there is a long, lower, two-storey secondary range with three windows, featuring two-and three-light casement windows and 20th-century windows on the first floor. All windows have timber lintels. The stonework of the secondary range shows signs of disturbance, including one blocked door. The interior has not been inspected.
