Description
Swan Farmhouse, formerly known as The Swan Public House, is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with tile roofs and features brick end stacks. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a three-window range.
The façade includes a round-arched doorway with a 20th-century door to the left of a canted bay window, which sits on a dressed stone base. The bay window has a tripartite sash window at the front, consisting of a 12-pane sash in the middle section and 4-pane sashes on the sides, along with 8-pane sashes on either side and a tile roof above. On the first floor, there are wood mullion and transom windows flanking a blocked window. The building features a plinth and a storey band.
To the left side, there is a lean-to extension, while the gable ends on the right side are painted and have two blocked windows with segmental heads on the ground floor of the back range. The first floor has two 12-pane sashes, and both gables include circular attic windows positioned below the end stacks. Inside, the farmhouse has stop-chamfered spine beams.
