Description

Falcon Cottage is a cottage dating from the 18th century, located on Old Forge Lane in Preston Capes. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble with a thatched roof and features brick end stacks, one of which sits on a stone base. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic, presenting a two-window range. On the ground floor, there are two 2-light casements with timber lintels, along with a small overlight window in an eyebrow dormer in the attic. To the right, there is a single-storey extension with a door located at the rear. Inside, the cottage includes an open fireplace and stop-chamfered spine beams.
