Description
This cottage, located approximately 110 metres north-east of the Church of Saint Nicholas, is likely from the 17th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a thatched roof with two brick stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic. The entrance on the left has a plank door with a moulded wood surround and a wooden lintel above. To the left of the entrance is a window with lead cames and a wooden lintel, while to the right are two 20th-century windows, also with wooden lintels. An eyebrow dormer on the roof contains a three-light 20th-century casement window. There is a 20th-century extension to the left of the cottage. Inside, there is a stop-chamfered beam and bressumer over the fireplace in the room to the right of the entrance.
