Description

This barn, located approximately 50 meters northwest of Barton House Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed from finely jointed coursed, squared ironstone and features a steeply pitched corrugated iron roof. The barn consists of four bays, with a threshing floor entrance on the right that has wide plank doors and wooden lintels. There are small square ventilation holes, and the original roof includes principal rafters, tie beams, collars, and purlins. The doors also have 'cratch' boards and a pole.
