Description
This barn, built around 1800, is located approximately 150 metres west of Preedy's Farmhouse. It is constructed from squared coursed ironstone and features coped stone gables with a roof made of corrugated iron and corrugated asbestos. The barn has four bays. On the southwest elevation, there is a threshing floor in the second bay from the left, with two ventilation slits on either side of the doors. The double doors are repaired and retain their cratch board. The yard elevation includes a threshing floor in the third bay from the left and double doors that do not have a cratch board, with ventilation slits flanking the doors. There are also ventilation slits in the gable ends. Inside, the barn has a four-bay roof supported by 19th-century king post trusses and two rows of trenched purlins. To the left of the door on the northwest side, there is a small niche. The floor throughout is made of stone flags. There are 20th-century extensions that are not of architectural or historic interest.
