Description
This barn, located approximately 75 meters southeast of Great House Close, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a steeply pitched corrugated-iron roof. The barn consists of four bays. The threshing floor in the second bay from the left has wide plank doors, a wooden lintel, cratch boards, and a small opening inner door. On the right side, there is a loft door with a wooden plank door. Inside, the barn has a four-bay trenched purlin roof, which includes principals, common rafters, tie and collar beams, a ridge pole, and stays. The floor is made of brick, and the left (first) bay has an inserted floor.
