Description
Plumb Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations and additions made in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features steeply pitched red-tile roofs, along with three brick end stacks. The building consists of two sections and has a two-unit plan with an additional unit on the right side. It stands two storeys tall and has a total of three windows across the front. The entrance is located in the main part of the house and is accompanied by a 20th-century porch. Flanking the entrance are two-light casement windows with leaded lights and wooden lintels, as well as wrought-iron casement fasteners. There is a similar window on the ground floor of the right section and three additional similar windows on the first floor. The cottage also features limestone quoins and 19th-century ornamental ridge tiles. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
