Description
This barn, located approximately 20 meters southeast of the Manor House, dates from the early 18th century, with an illegible datestone possibly indicating the year 1715. It is constructed of regular coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched stone slate roof laid in diminishing courses. The barn has nine bays, with threshing floors located in the third and seventh bays.
On the left side, there is a wide plank door, while the right side has a plank door with a wooden lintel, flanked by two-light casements. A loft door is also situated on the left. The rear of the barn includes two gabled porches. The roof structure consists of butt purlins, with most trusses being original, and includes common and principal rafters, as well as collars on all trusses.
