Description

The barn at Manor House is a structure dating from the 17th century, with some casing from the 18th century and alterations made in the 19th century. It features a timber frame with a base of coursed limestone rubble, ashlar quoins, and red brick laid in Flemish bond with dark burnt headers. The roof is covered with pantiles. The barn is a single-storey, two-bay range that has double planked doors on the left, which are topped by a dark brick lozenge, and a smaller planked door on the right, both with timber lintels. Inside, the barn retains four bays of oak posts with diagonal braces and a clasped purlin roof.
