Description

The small barn and granary associated with Thurlby Manor House is an early 18th-century structure that has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone rubble and features a Bradstone slate roof. The building is single storey with a loft and has a three-bay front that includes a planked door, a two-light casement window, and double planked doors, all of which have timber lintels. On the left side, there is a set of worn stone steps leading to the granary, which is flanked by single-storey stores with pent roofs made of brick. At the rear of the building, there are two stepped buttresses. This structure is included in the register for its group value with the manor house.
