Description
This is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It was originally timber-framed, but has since been underbuilt with stone, and is now rendered. The roof is thatched with a half-hipped design and has two red brick ridge stacks. It originally had a lobby entry plan. The cottage is single-storey with attics, and has a four-bay front, with one bay slightly recessed on the right-hand side. It features three three-light casement windows to the left, and a two-light casement window to the right. There are two two-light casement windows in the roof, each with a thatched eyebrow. Inside, the cottage retains an inglenook fireplace, a large chamfered beam with ogee and roll stop details, vertical posts, and straight braces on the end wall.
