Description

The barn at Manor Farm is a mid-17th century structure, with later alterations in the 18th century. It is constructed as a timber frame building with red brick nogging, set upon a rubble plinth. Some areas of the barn are rendered. The roof is tiled with pantiles and features raised gables and kneelers constructed of brick. The barn is two storeys high. A large doorway, supported by a wooden lintel and flanked by single posts, provides access. A further doorway, with a plank door, is located on the left side of the barn, along with a wall plate and a single beam. Three lozenge-shaped ventilators are visible on the ground floor of the left side, and four similar ventilators are on the first floor. Inside, the barn exhibits post-and-truss construction, with four posts visible on the north wall.
