Description
Manor Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century and early 18th century, with later 18th century alterations to its windows. It is constructed of red brick, featuring plain tiles on the front and concrete pantiles on the rear. The 18th century front has a single ridge red brick chimney stack, raised brick coped gables with kneelers, and is two storeys plus an attic with three bays. There is a first floor band and another band above the first floor windows.
The central porch, which is from the 19th century, is made of red brick and pantiles, featuring dentil eaves. It has an arched entrance with a keyblock and single glazing bar fixed lights on each side wall. Two semi-circular ashlar steps lead to the inner doorway, which has a 20th century glazing bar door with a glazing bar overlight and keyblock. On either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sash windows, with three similar, smaller sashes above. In the attic, there are three 20th century wooden and tiled gabled dormers, each with a single glazing bar casement.
There are four tie plates on the building. The right gable wall has a single glazing bar sash on both the ground and first floors, with a band extending over the single glazing bar casement in the attic. At the rear, there is a late 17th century two storey plus attic wing with two bays, featuring a raised brick coped gable with a kneeler and similar bands to the front. The doorway to the right has a glazed and panelled door, and there is a single 20th century glazing bar casement. Above this is a small glazing bar fixed light with a single cross casement to the right. In the attic, there is a raised brick coped gabled dormer with kneelers and a single glazing bar casement, with a band extending over it.
The rear of the main front has an outshut under a catslide roof. To the left, there is a central three storey, single bay stair turret with raised brick coped gables and kneelers, featuring a single glazing bar casement, with a single glazing bar sash above it and another similar sash on the top floor.
