Description
Soper's Lane Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1700 or earlier. It features a timber frame and is weather-boarded on a sandstone base, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and a garret, set on a plinth with a half-hipped roof and a central chimney stack. The windows are arranged regularly, with two 3-light wooden casements on each floor and a central 2-light casement on the first floor. Each window has small cornices on the frames. The entrance consists of a central boarded door with a flat hood supported by brackets. At the rear, there is a catslide outshot and a projecting bake-oven wing with a chimney stack, which also features wooden casements and half-doors.
