Description
Furnace Mill Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century or earlier. It features a timber frame and is tile hung on a base made of red brick and sandstone, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has a two-cell lobby entry plan and stands two storeys high, with a garret and basement beneath a half-hipped roof that includes a large central chimney stack. On each floor, there are two two-light wooden casements and a central panelled door that has a flat hood supported by brackets. To the right side, there is a semi-basement with a glazed door. The rear of the house has a catslide outshot and a small stack at the left end, along with a central three-storey stair projection that features a hipped roof.
