Description

Brook Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber frame and is tile hung on a red brick and sandstone base, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has a lobby entry plan and stands two storeys tall on a brick plinth laid in English bond. The roof is hipped, with a cross-plan moulded stack located to the centre left and a cross-gabled wing at the end left. There are three wooden casement windows with three lights on each floor, and a boarded door located to the centre left within a raking porch, accompanied by a two-light casement. At the rear, there is a single-storey extension from the early 19th century, constructed in red and blue chequered brick.
