Description

Mount Pleasant Farmhouse is a house dating to the late 16th century. It is timber-framed with weatherboarding above a sandstone base, and has a plain tiled roof. The house was originally built with a two-cell lobby entry plan. It has two storeys, an attic, and a basement, and stands on a high plinth. The roof is half-hipped, with a tall central moulded cruciform stack cluster and three hipped dormers. Two three-light wooden casements are present on each floor. A boarded door is positioned off-centre to the left, approached by a flight of six stone steps that turn to the right, and has a flat hood on brackets and a small sidelight to the right. A basement opening is on the right-hand side. A catslide is positioned outshot to the rear, with a stack at the rear left. The interior is fully timber-framed.
