Description

Well Cottage is a house dating from around 1700 or earlier. It features a timber frame and is tile hung on the red brick ground floor, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and a garret, standing on a plinth, with a half-hipped roof and chimney stacks at the left end and the rear right. On the first floor, there are three two-light wooden casement windows, while the ground floor has two similar windows. The entrance is a central boarded door located off-centre to the left, which is sheltered by a bracketed open pediment-shaped hood. At the rear, there is a catslide outshot.
