Description

Lodge Gate is a mid-19th century building designed in the neo-Elizabethan style. It originally served as the lodge for Great Bounds, a house that has since been demolished. The structure is built of ashlar stone and features a slate roof. It has one storey and an attic, with an irregular ground plan. A large squared bay faces the road, and there are tall neo-Elizabethan chimneys. The windows are square-headed and fitted with metal casements, and some recent external alterations include dripstones above certain windows.
