Description
A late 18th-century house located on London Road, Southborough, originally built as Holme's Charity School in 1786. The building was constructed under the terms of a trust established by the Revd Edward Holme in 1775. It is built of painted brick with a modillion eaves cornice and a plain tiled roof. The two-storey facade has three windows. The window heads are cambered, and they contain sash windows from which the glazing bars are missing. The central entrance has a six-panel door, with the top two panels removed and glazed. A late 19th-century gabled hood features above the door. A three-window, single-storey extension adjoins the south side of the building.
