Description
This is a barn located about 25 metres north-east of Paul's, dating from the late 16th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding on a sandstone base, topped with a plain tiled roof. The roof is hipped and features a catslide outshut to the right, which has an open ground floor on a brick base that was formerly used as a stock shed. The barn has central boarded cart doors and open arcaded outshots at the rear. Inside, there are three bays with eccentric bracing on the main posts, a clasped purlin roof with diminished principals and wind braces, similar to the adjacent house. The right end bay has been floored over to create a loft.
