Description
This is an 18th-century barn located about 15 metres west of Pittsgate Farmhouse. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, sitting on a base of red brick and sandstone, topped with a plain tiled roof. The barn has a half-hipped roof and includes full-height cart doors positioned to the centre right on the northern elevation. On the southern elevation, there is a catslide outshot and an open arcaded ground floor with boarded doors on both the left and right sides. To the right (east), there is a lean-to outshot with carriage doors. Inside, the barn consists of four bays with a queen strut roof and inward sloping braces to the main posts, and both end bays are lofted over.
