Description
Lamberhurst Forge is an early 19th-century house and forge. It is constructed of hammer-dressed sandstone, with rendered red brick stacks and an extension in red brick. The roof is slate-covered, and it has a two-storey and attic form with stacks projecting at the left and right ends, and two gabled dormers. The front elevation features two glazing bar sashes on the first floor, and a canted bay window to the right on the ground floor. A central boarded door and a cart passage entry are located to the left, both with segmental heads. A single-storey forge wing extends to the rear, featuring a casement window and a small stack.
