Description
This is a 16th-century house located on School Hill, Lamberhurst. It is a small, two-bay cottage constructed with a timber frame. The ground floor is built with red and blue chequered brick on a sandstone base, while the first floor is tile hung, and the return elevations are weather boarded. The roof is tiled, featuring a hip end to the roadside, along with a gablet. The cottage sits on a plinth and has a large, freestanding stack offset to the left. It has three-light wooden casement windows on each floor, and a boarded door to the right, sheltered by a small raking hood. Further wooden casement windows are present on the right return elevation, and there is a lean-to extension at the rear.
