Description
Laburnum Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century. It has a timber frame and is clad with red brick on the ground floor, sitting on a sandstone base, while the first floor features tile hanging and a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high with a hipped roof that has a gablet on the left side and a freestanding stack at the left end. On the first floor, there are two light and three light wooden casements. The ground floor has a lean-to projection covering all but the right end section, with a three light casement on the left and a canted bay on the right. The central entrance features a boarded door. It is noted that the adjacent building, Campers, is believed to be the rebuilt right-hand section of the earlier structure represented by Laburnum Cottage.
