Description

Campers is a house dating back to the 16th century with significant additions from the early 18th century. The house is timber framed and has weatherboarding on a red brick base, topped with a plain tiled roof. The roof has a moulded wooden eaves cornice and is half-hipped to the right. Chimneys are located to the left and to the rear right. The front of the house has two 3-light wooden casement windows on the first floor. The ground floor features projecting canted bays and a central boarded door, covered by a flat hood supported by brackets. The rear wings appear to be older timber-framed structures, while the front range was added in the early 18th century, extending to the rear and adjoining Laburnam Cottage. A chimney stack is dated 1701 or 1707.
