Description
This barn, located to the northeast of Stovolds Hill, dates from around 1700. It is constructed with a timber frame set on sandstone plinths and features weatherboard cladding and a hipped plain tiled roof. Originally designed with five framed bays, it has been extended to seven bays, including central opposing waggon entrances beneath a hipped midstrey on the north side. There is also a pentice extension at the rear right. Inside, the barn has a queen-post and clasped purlin roof with some windbracing, and the end bay to the right has a floor. Additionally, there is a hipped roof stable wing that is positioned at right angles to the left side of the barn.
