Description
Thatched House Farm House is a house dating from the late 16th century. It is timber framed, with the frame exposed at the rear, and features a red brick plinth and red and blue brick cladding on the front. The roof is plain tiled, hipped, and has a gablet on the right side. The house has two storeys and a basement at the front, where the ground level drops. There is an end stack at the rear. On the first floor, there are four casement windows from the 20th century, while the ground floor has three cambered head windows that are now blocked. The door is located to the rear, right of centre. There is also a galleted sandstone pentice roof extension on the left end, which has fishscale tile hanging. The house was unoccupied at the time of the re-survey.
