Description
West House is a house dating from the late 16th century. It has a timber frame that is partially exposed, with red brick infill and fish-scale tile hanging on the first floor. The roof is plain tiled and features a lobby entry plan. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a half-hipped roof, a central stack on the right side, and a central gabled dormer. On the left side, there is a wooden casement window, while the first floor has a combination of 2, 3, 1, and 3 light mullioned and transomed leaded wooden casements. The ground floor includes a tripartite glazing bar sash and a canted bay with glazing bar sashes, along with a projecting single-storey extension on the left that also has glazing bar sashes. The front door consists of six raised and fielded panels, two of which are glazed, situated in a projecting flat-roofed porch. There are casement windows on the right return, and a catslide outshot at the rear.
