Description
Candleglow Cottage is a pair of houses with a shop, dating from the 17th century or earlier, and extended in the mid-20th century. The building is timber framed and tile hung on a red brick base, topped with a plain tiled roof. It stands two storeys tall, with the roof stepping up to the right and featuring a half-hipped design with a large cluster of central stacks. On the first floor, there is one wooden casement window to the left and two to the right. The ground floor has one window to the left and a half-glazed door located at the rear of an outshot. The right side of the ground floor is obscured by a hairdresser's shop, which includes a large single-storey extension with a hipped rooflet, plate glass windows, and a recessed central door.
