Description
This is a 17th-century barn located in front of High Loxley House, which was re-roofed in the 19th century. It features a timber frame supported by brick and sandstone footings, with weatherboard cladding and a hipped, plain tiled roof that has end gablets. The barn consists of five framed bays and has central opposing entrances. There is a threshing platform in the center and a hipped midstrey on one side. The roof is constructed with queen-struts and braced main posts. Additionally, there is a cat-slide extension on the side facing the old farmyard. The barn is part of an unspoilt farm group.
