Description

Town Hill Cottage is a house with probable origins in the 16th century, featuring an 18th-century front. It is timber-framed and sits on a ragstone plinth, with the front constructed of red brick topped with stone coping. The south elevation is rendered and adorned with vertical fishscale tile-hanging. The building has an old tiled roof and is two storeys high with three window spaces. The central round-headed area is blank, flanked by paired marginal glazed sash windows, which have rubbed brick boussoirs. The entrance features a scrolled and pilastered early 18th-century doorcase.
