Description
Holm Mill House is a house dating from the 18th century, with a front that may belong to a slightly earlier building. The ground floor is constructed of galleted ragstone with red brick dressings, while the first floor features red brick with occasional grey headers arranged in Flemish bond. The house has a plain tile roof and a lobby entry. It stands two storeys high with a garret on a galleted stone plinth, and includes a plat band in English bond. The roof is half-hipped, and there is a central brick stack on the rear slope of the roof. The windows are regularly arranged, consisting of two 3-light casements and a small central single light. The ground-floor windows have segmental heads with brick voussoirs. A central boarded door with a rectangular glazed light is sheltered by a simple gabled wood porch, which is accessed by three steps. There is also a rear lean-to. The interior has not been inspected.
