Description
The Cottage is a house that dates from the early 19th century or possibly earlier. The ground floor is constructed of red brick with occasional grey headers in Flemish bond, while the gable ends are made of stone. The first floor is tile-hung, and the building features a plain tile roof. It is two storeys tall, set on a rendered plinth, and has a hipped roof with a central brick stack on the front slope. The windows are arranged irregularly, consisting of three leaded windows: two 2-light casements and one fixed light, along with two 3-light leaded casements on the ground floor. The entrance has a central ribbed 20th-century door framed by a plain wooden architrave and topped with a flat bracketed hood. There is also a rear lean-to.
