Description
Windlass Cottage is a house that dates from the early 18th century or earlier. The front elevation is made of red and grey brick arranged in a Flemish-type bond, while the right gable end is roughcast. It has a plain tile roof and is positioned at right angles to the road, facing east. The building is two storeys high and sits on a rendered plinth, featuring a plat band on the front elevation. The roof is hipped, and there is a brick ridge stack located towards the center. The windows are arranged irregularly, with three casements: there are no windows on the left side, one single-light window towards the center, and two two-light windows. The entrance features a half-glazed door set in a red and grey brick lean-to porch located under the stack. There is also a rear lean-to. The interior has not been inspected.
