Description
Mill Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a hipped, plain-tiled roof with a ridge stack. The building is designed in an L-shape and has two storeys plus an attic. The symmetrical facade consists of three bays that are separated by pilaster strips. There are elliptical arches above three 20th-century wooden casement windows, and similar arches are found above the larger three-light casements on the ground floor. The central doorway, which is also in an elliptical arch, dates from the early 19th century and features a four flush-panelled door. A late 19th-century gabled porch with a barge-boarded gable and turned balusters is present at the open upper stage of the side walls. The west wall has a band between the storeys and exhibits similar window arrangements, with a blocked doorway on the ground floor.
