Description

Manor Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with a later addition to the left. It is constructed of painted brick in Flemish bond. The ground floor of the rear elevation is of flint with brick dressings, while the first floor is red and grey brick also in Flemish bond. The roof is tiled, with a three-quarter hip to the left addition and a hipped gablet to the right. A brick stack sits in the front slope of the roof to the right end of the addition, and a brick ridge stack is located to the right of centre of the main range. The house has a painted brick plinth, and a flush flint base panel to the right gable end. The fenestration is irregular; the left addition has no windows, whereas the first floor of the main range has one three-light and one two-light casement. Similar, larger windows with segmental heads are present on the ground floor of the main range. A blocked doorway with a segmental head is located under the stack. The interior has not been inspected.
