Description
Halfway House is a house dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a plain tile roof. The building stands two storeys high on a shallow plinth and has a wood eaves plat band. There are brick end stacks and a regular arrangement of windows, which includes two glazing-bar sashes and a small central blind or blocked window with a semi-circular head, adorned with rubbed brick voussoirs. The ground floor windows are also framed with splayed rubbed brick voussoirs. The central door is framed by a finely-channelled architrave, has a plain frieze with three raised diamonds, and is topped by a shallow flat corniced hood. The door itself consists of six fielded panels. To the right of the main structure, there is a two-storey rear wing. The interior has not been inspected.
