Description

Summerfield House is a house dating from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame, plastered and rough cast rendering, and painted brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The house is two storeys high with attics and has an L-shaped layout, with extensions to the rear. The north-facing main elevation originally had an entrance, which has since been blocked. A central ridge stack sits to the right of centre. The building features shaped bargeboards and a brick plinth. There are three near-flush-framed, twelve-paned hung sash windows on the ground floor and three on the first floor. Three smaller windows are also present, including one round window. The main entrance is now located in the rear elevation.
