Description
The Bull Public House is a public house that dates from the late 15th century or early 16th century, with alterations made in the 17th and 18th centuries. It was partially demolished when the railway cutting was constructed in the 19th century and has since been reclad. The building is timber-framed and has been refaced in brick, topped with a tiled roof. It features two projecting gables and two bays. Inside, there is a plain crown post roof with fittings for a garderobe hanging over the rear. The stair tower has solid wood steps and turned newel heads, but lacks balusters. There is a panelled first-floor room that includes Jacobean chimneypieces with carving, and oak panelling in the bar area.
