Description
No. 18 Albert Street is a house and shop built in the 1830s. It is constructed of stock brick and features a slate roof. The building has three storeys set on a plinth, with a cornice and parapet, and chimney stacks on both the left and right sides. As a corner property, it has a two-storey shallow bow on the left side, adorned with pilasters and cornices. The sash windows have vertical glazing bars, and there is a blank space with a 20th-century louvred light to the right on the first and second floors. The mid-19th century shop front wraps around the corner and includes a fascia, cornice, and brackets, although it is currently boarded up. On the ground floor, there is a louvred light to the right and a door with two panels and a semi-circular fanlight set in a moulded surround.
