Description
Grace Cottage is a house dating from around 1830, located on the north side of Liverpool Lawn in Ramsgate. The building is constructed of coursed flint with brick dressings and has a slate roof. It stands two storeys tall with a basement and features a gable with a kneeler. The gable end includes a pointed Y-traceried metal casement window, while the ground floor has a 20th-century shop front with a glazing bar sash window that has louvred shutters. To the right of the shop front is a 20th-century panelled door with a rectangular fanlight, situated beneath a large fascia that features a four-centred arched recess and cornice supported by pilasters. There is also an arched opening for the basement. The right side of the building has two arched recesses on each floor, with a small casement window at the top right. The ground floor's end right recess was originally a doorway, and there is a blocked central arched opening in the basement. The opposite building, No. 24, shows similar Gothick architectural influences.
