Description
No. 31 Adelaide Gardens is a terrace house built around 1830. It features stock brick construction, some rendered areas, and a slate roof. The building has three storeys and a basement, with a string course at the second floor and a parapet that includes a stack on the right side. On the second floor, there are two glazing bar sash windows, and the house has a two-storey bow with Ionic pilasters that separate the glazing bar sashes. To the left, there is a half-glazed door with a semi-circular fanlight above it, accessed by a flight of five steps. Additionally, there is a single glazing bar sash window in the basement. This house is part of James Townley's redevelopment of the site of the former Napoleonic War barracks.
