Description
No. 27 Addington Street is a house and shop built around 1830. It is constructed of stock brick and has a slate roof. Originally, it consisted of two separate buildings: the left side is three storeys high with a parapet, while the right side is two storeys high, also with a parapet, and has stacks at the rear. The top left section features sash windows with cambered heads, and there are two identical bays on the first floor, which also have sashes, moulded sunk panels, and cornices. The shop front includes large 19th-century plate glass canted windows, a recessed glazed door in the center, and a recessed panelled door to the left, all beneath a fascia with a modillion cornice.
