Description
This is a terrace house, dating from around 1820. It is constructed of white stock brick, with a rendered ground floor and painted basement, and has a slate roof. The property stands three storeys high with a basement, and has parapets and chimney stacks to the left and right. The second floor has two glazing bar sashes. There are two French windows on the first floor, and a bow front to the basement and ground floor, with simple iron railings serving as a balcony to the first floor. Glazing bar sashes are present in the bow front. The right-hand side features a door of six raised and fielded panels, topped by a semi-circular fanlight and a moulded surround, leading to a flight of eight steps with simple iron railings. The house was depicted as already built on Collard and Hurst's 1821 map of Ramsgate, and was formerly associated with Nos. 8, 10 and 14, known as Wellington Place.
