Description

Dale Farm Cottage is a 16th-century cottage with a later 17th-century wing, situated on Church Road in Weald, Sevenoaks. The cottage has an L-shaped front entrance. The original 16th-century part is two storeys high and has one window, featuring a high-pitched hipped tiled roof. A projecting two-storey and attic wing was added in the 17th century, with a gabled end that includes a single small attic window and door. The upper parts of the cottage are tile hung, while the lower parts are brick. The roof is hipped at the rear. A single-storey extension, built of galletted random rubble with red brick dressings, extends to the right, and the ground floor of the rear elevation is also of this material. The windows are mostly small casements, and the interior retains many exposed beams, swell head posts, and old plank floors.
