Description

Anchor Cottages, located on Hubbard's Hill in Sevenoaks Weald, is a house that appears to date from the 17th century but has a later front. It has been divided into two dwellings, each with two storeys and two windows. The cottages feature a high-pitched tiled roof with projecting end chimneys. The first floor is tile-hung, while the ground floor is made of red brick with some blue headers. Number 2 has a pent, one-storey extension on the right, and Number 4 has a gabled, set-back extension on the left. The windows are mostly 19th-century one-bar casements, except for two modern casements in the centre of the first floor. The entrances have plank doors beneath modern hipped, tiled hoods.
